Thanks Noah, Teletubbies is real cool. I got into it when my friend turned me on to it because he liked watching it with his toddler son who loved it.

There's a cult following among some college kids; and on a S. Park episode, some older kids are sitting on a couch stoned watching them. It's the 'Don't Do Drugs, Drugs are Bad' episode.

It came to America when my nephew was seven, I would tell him I loved watching Teletubbies, and he would twist his face up and go "Huh?". LOL

Thanks GoB, but I think he's considered purple, Tinky Winky was the one 'rumored' to be gay. Because of his purple color and his little handbag.

From Answers.com:

Tinky Winky started a still hinted-at controversy in 1999 due to his carrying a bag that looks much like a woman's handbag (although he was first "outed" by the academic and cultural critic Andy Medhurst in a letter of July 1997 to The Face). He aroused the interest of Jerry Falwell in 1997 when Fallwell alleged that the character was a "gay role model".
